Big life decisions and stuff...
Sorry I haven't been on! When my internet crapped out on me last week I decided to sort out some life stuff.
So far I've decided to visit my cousins in LA at some point in Feb. for a week or two and if I decide I like it in CA I may be moving there sometime in the near future for the motivation and job opportunities and stuff ^^
Anyway I really need to stop bumming around and get my life on track again so I'm trying to cut back on gaming. I'll probably be on sometime in the next few days but I'm going to try to not stay on as much as I used to so I can actually get some work done.

Hope you do enjoy your stay in LA. California is a great place for jobs, but it does get very competitive. If I recall, your major was graphics design. I'm not super familiar with that major and what jobs it may apply to. And to be honest, not sure if it'll be easy for you to get a job without some internships or job experience. But of course, that's why you should come to California to do.
I'm also not sure about LA as it's the southern part of California and I live in the northern half (people actually are a bit different since California is such a huge State). But I bet there is a ton of opportunities there. If you get a chance, you should come up to San Francisco as well. The Bay Area is a great place for jobs/opportunities. Plus the weather there is amazing. (Every wonder why all the top companies are located there? )
I also have no right to say this since I know nothing about your personal life or anything, but if looking for a job is tough, you might consider going to grad school. Just a thought.
Anyways, I hope you have a safe trip and enjoy your stay. From what I can remember, LA is generally warmer so keep that in mind.
Oh! All of us should totally get together sometime and hangout!

Re: Big life decisions and stuff...
I was actually looking at an internship in San Francisco that looked interesting. My mom is suggesting I drop buy San Fran when I'm visiting LA to check things out there too but I'm kind of scared to go by myself xD
I've had a little bit of work experience in my field but not enough to really be considered for a senior position anywhere and most internships want people straight out of college which I'm not lol so I'm in a bit of a rut there... I had thought about grad school but I don't really know what I would want to go for ( I figure it'd have to be something that helps me get a job in the field in the long run but not exactly the same skill set as what I majored in for college since that would be redundant xD)
But climate/environment will definitely play a big part in where I end up going. I've always been iffy on LA because I hear it's always warm and sunny...and I hate the sun lol (If the sun is bright over head and the weather is hot I immediately wilt like a plant without water xD I get lethargic and grumpy and just don't want to do anything) I hear San Francisco is pretty much 50-70 degrees year round though so that might actually be nice.

Probably when I get back home at the end of the month/beginning of next month. We're looking at tickets and stuff now. I guess I'm coming to San Fran on the 20th...but I probably won't be able to meet up with you guys cuz my cousin's gf and mom both invited themselves on my trip -_- so I'm kind of stuck doing what they want

Curious... What would be the best way to get around in San Fran? Taxi? Public transportation?

Public transportation is the way I'd go. Depending on how long you plan to stay and wander around the city, an all day ticket pass may not be a bad idea. Renting a car is an option as well. It's not that hard to navigate around the city. Just stay away from the busy streets and freeway during rush hour. But I usually bring a bike whenever I visit SF.

Re: Big life decisions and stuff...
no... get rent a car. tourist should never go public transportation
Re: Big life decisions and stuff...
Can't rent a car =\ I'm fairly certain you have to be 25 yrs old to rent a car (at least that was the case the last time my friend tried to rent one) and our only driver is 24
But I should be getting there at 2pm on the 20th so with baggage and settling into the hotel I think it'd probably be easier to eat with the travel mates. Would it be ok to try for the 21st? I'm still trying to figure out how to tell them I'm ditching them to meet friends from an online game xD I feel like my aunt would think I'm crazy lol
